KickApps integrates Joomla into thier online community building platform

With the social networking trend hitting the web with a boom, people are finding themselves becoming more interested in creating their own social networking community rather than just participating in it. Mashable.com has reported today, that KickApps has added Joomla into their Community Building Platform for all to use, with release of their white paper to boot; this will help inform and guide the newbees coming to the scene.

The company has recently raised $11 million in funding, and already has a partnership with Akamai for the provision of social media tools.
